International Software Product Manager urgently required for pivotal role within a global, highly innovative, energy management technology company with offices in Cape Town, South Africa.
The successful candidate will be an experienced software product manager. Any international exposure would be desirable but no means essential as long as you have the desire to take on a broader international remit.
You will have a strong technical IT / software / telecoms technical background.
In this role you will take ownership of the prepayment software development ecosystem (which is developed in Cape Town) and support the worldwide sales team by giving product presentations to potential customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Develop specific marketing plans and activities for specific products or product line to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
-Develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.
-Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
-Establishes pricing strategies.
-Works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
-Work closely with customers, prospects and marketing to define product requirements for new software and enhancements to existing software products.
-Write and update product requirements documents for new or enhanced software.
-Work closely with engineers on detailed designs, functional specifications, project management, and testing.
-Provide support to professional services team on customer implementations.
-Present and promote product offerings at trade shows and other industry events.
