Project Quality Managers urgently needed for a role with a leading International Engineering Procurement and Construction company working for their Transmission and Distribution division. The Project Quality Manager is needed to work on High Voltage substation projects across Western Canada and would be based in Calgary full time.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing and coordinating the quality control and quality assurance activities on the Substation projects and will report directly to the Manager of Quality. You should have experience working in a QA/QC capacity on large scale projects within an EPC environment.
The successful candidate should have experience in the following aspects:
- Min 8 years of experience as project quality control/quality assurance professional in an EPC environment.
- Assisting the full project team and office staff to ensure compliance with and continuous improvements of Quality management System.
- Coaching and mentoring all project and office staff on Quality Management System.
- Conduct quality audits on all areas of the project
- Implement and manage a Quality Training Program
- System and project quality auditing experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis
- General knowledge of transmission lines and associated equipment and materials is an asset.
- Experience with ISO 9000 series.
- Experience in development of Project Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans.
The Project Quality Manager could be based in either Calgary or Vancouver and would be responsible for projects in Western Canada.
The position is offering a basic salary of approximately CAD $110-130k plus a relocation allowance if you are not currently based in Canada.
